# Create New Document Name with French special characters is carrying the special characters on to the url-name

Hi,  
I am working on Hippo 11.2.0 , in the CMS when I try to create a new document with name containing french letters such as àé’ is carrying the same letters to the url-name àé’ .

I want the url-name to strip these accent characters, How to go about this…

When you input the name, Hippo will auto create a default URL name. But after that you can change the URL Name to be whatever you want.

This is already there, I want it not give any accent characters in the first place, so it helps with uniformity.can you point out the where I name charracter stripping function or method is available.
