# URL Rewriter is not working

Hi All,

I am trying to redirect the URL and for that, I am using the URL rewriter plugin, but for some reason, it’s not working.  
I am creating redirect at folder /administration/urlrewriter .

**Few More detail:**

I am trying to redirect the following link:

Domain/fritem/xyz  
**TO**  
Domain/item/xyz

but it’s not working.

Also, note that Domain/fritem/xyz is from a different channel and Domain/item/xyz is from a different channel but not a different subdomain or domain. Both have the same domains.

Please help me how to resolve this?
