# Usage of Parameter.displayName in the custom channel settings

Hi,

in the channel settings, the value of `name()` is displayed as label. But why not the value of `displayName()`, like it is done in the component settings? Is there a setting or an easy way to change this?

Unfortunately, the documentation does not provide any further information on this:

The displayname should be the label of the parameter in the experience manager.

Using the following instructions, I found out how the labels can be customized via resource bundles: [Annotate Channel or Component Configuration Parameters with UI Directives](https://xmdocumentation.bloomreach.com/13/library/concepts/template-composer/annotate-channel-or-component-configuration.html)

I created an ChannelInfo.properties file in the same package as the ChannelInfo.java with the following settings:

```auto
showReviews=Bewertungen anzeigen
useInformalGerman=Informelles Deutsch verwenden

```
