How can we limit the dropdown in the ‘Allowable Content…’ menu option on a content folder for users?
Our list of available content types have grown and we want to limit/focus the users to a specific set of available types that they can use.

iiuc you want to limit the list of template queries? That isn’t possible ootb.
If you want to create new template queries, that’s another matter. Essentials can do this for you.
I think you might be able to limit the available template queries if you delete the respective nodes under /hippo:configuration/hippo:queries/hippo:templates

Yes, but then you don’t have those queries. Which are needed for creating new documents and folders for those types.
