Does anyone have a current-running system that has a large number of Projects, possibly with campaigns (time-boxed projects) running concurrently?

We do not recommend to use large number of projects simultaneously. We strongly recommend keeping no more than three development projects open simultaneously, thus closing unnecessary projects helps the performance and stability of your environment.
Reducing the number of channels can improve the performance of your development projects significantly as well as the project merge speed. In addition, we recommend to use regular projects instead of Development projects, wherever possible.
