How to subscribe for email notifications

#1

I am not very interested into web interface

#2

Go to settings > emails > and enable “Mailing list mode” :+1:

#3

Somewhere in preferences. Notifications or e-mail it was, I think.

#4

found it at https://community.bloomreach.com/u/machak/preferences/emails

#5

I noticed all the previous e-mails are placed in the signature
(Why !?!?).

Don’t tell me this only allows top-posting…

#6

Wow, it even converts it to a top-post. (Both this and the
previous were bottom posted)

The mailing list functionality seems to be a bit of a afterthought.

Kind regards,
Bartosz

Inline somewhat works, but you do lose the attribution which will make
it difficult if not impossible to follow when multiple posters are
involved in a discussion.

I suggest you send your opinions directly to Discourse. I’m still learning
the interface but I don’t think we have any control over this.

The best way imo to subscribe for email notifications is to use the button on a category in the top right corner. You can choose between ‘watching’, ‘tracking’, ‘watching first post’, ‘normal’ and ‘mute’ to adjust the email notifications to your preference

this would mean I would need to go and check web interface each time.
I found email setting in the account settings shortly after I asked the
question, it was quite hidden in a dropdown.
My account needed 12 hours (this could be improved?) approval time so I
couldn’t respond earlier

Approval is a manual process. No different from Google Groups. I personally
approved your account. I guess the other admins don’t like you :P.
