Unable to save Url Rewriter document in Bloomreach Experience Manager 15.7.0

Hi everyone,

we have tons of rewrite rules. And after we upgraded to Bloomreach 15.7.0, we found out that we can no longer save the Rewrite rule. Once I edit the document and put my cursor in the editor section, I can no longer Cancel, Done, or Save the document. I have to reload the page and cancel out of it. So editing the document becomes impossible. Here is an example of what we put in the document,

^/our-retailers/ca/ab/la-crete/best-buy-homes/?$ /our-retailers

The document is rather large, it has 3000+ lines. I did try to decrease the size, but still having the same problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for reading.

  • Are you experiencing this on your local?
  • Do you experience the issue in other documents (perhaps with less rules)?
  • Any errors in your logs?

We are experiencing this on Bloomreach cloud.
All URL Rewriter documents have the problem, even with less rules.
I do not see any errors in the bloomreach server log.

We were able to save the same documents when we were in Bloomreach 14.7.20

I think you are correct. I looked at the Network request, and when I click on the editor area, it fires off a request with all the rules in the header. To prove this, I found another document that has very few rules, and I was able to edit that one. So the solution is to upgrade it to 15.7.1

Sorry the info wasn’t correct in my previous reply. I found a document that has even less rules, and i was able to edit/save that document. So it is related to the size of the document, as machak pointed out. Thanks.

Is there any workaround, like editing the rules using console, before waiting for 15.7.1 to come out?

Editing via the console should work.

Note that 15.7.1 will be announced today :slight_smile:
