How to turn off Lucene indexes totally?

Hello,

is it possible to turn off lucene indexes in HippoCMS? We will use external search machnism and we think we don’t need lucene indexing at all. Is it possible to turn it off in HippoCMS 12.4 version?
If yes, how? I’ve tried to find a proper solution in google, docs, and old google group forum without any success.

It isn’t possible afaik and it would not be desirable. The index isn’t just used for site search, it’s used by the system itself. Even if you could get rid of the index, the result would be all queries going directly to the database. This would be harmful to performance.
